So, someone requested chicken skewers & pineapple salsa today; I gave them this: Grilled chicken marinated in a purée of charred scallions, ginger, garlic, all spice, clove, soy sauce, roasted jalepeño & serrano chilis, oil and a few other ingredients I can’t remember. The pineapple for the ‘salsa’ was grilled & tossed w/ cucumber, radish, lime juice & scallions. A little sautéed garlic spinach for good luck. #lunch #nyc #chicken

More great food from Favela Grill in Astoria- Feijoada stew w/ accompanying rice, shredded collard greens & farofa and Costela Bam-Bam a very tender braised beef rib in Madeira w/ manioc fries. Such good food. Most of it got packed to-go because it was too much to finish in one sitting. #brazil #astoria #saturday #dinner
